Yesterday I went to Cranes beach. The beach was lovely but my mood soured by noon and I could not get off the beach until 2 PM.

My cousins pinged my phone. I don't ignore because it could be that Dad has flopped. Nope. Iy was what do I want him to eat today. Umm I made him a lovely salad. Did he not bring it? They decided to go to the Indiana Jones movie at a place that shows movies and serves food. The original plan was he was going over to watch the baseball game after lunch and stay and watch the football game. Since it was a sports day I felt okay about going north. But they decided to do this and the restaurant part of the movie place serves only fast food. Pizza. Hamburgers... stuff like that. They ask me what he can eat so it absolves them of any guilt if he flops. I cant even get away for an afternoon...

That and I was mad (am mad) that they couldn't wait for me to go see the only movie I would have wanted to see in a theater in a very very long time. The habit now if that they do things when I am busy and when I am home they lay around in recliners and watch sports. I know it's deliberate. I don't dare call them out on it because that is where my Dad wants to be... more than doing things I like to do. And if something happens to me they would get him to his dr appointments and stuff and help him sell the house.

Today my feet and ankles felt destroyed until about 5 PM... I figured out why. Yesterday when I walked the 4 miles to get off the beach the tide was coming in at almost at it's height. That means all the wet sand I had been walking on had not been compressed for hours and my feet sank and ankles kept turning. Usually I get there about mid tidier dead low and that sand is firmer. Light dawns on marble head some times... I would have given anything for a foot rub...

Yesterday when I got into Boston I was too early for the train so I walked around. I found the address of my work's State Street office. I do hope that if Im not laid off I can go there. I could go shopping at lunch. So many places to go. Also on Fridays, if I have to go then, I could go to Haymarket (the oldest outside market un the U.S.) and buy a ton of fruit and veg. It's also close to the Public Market where my favorite fish monger is and the Fannuel Hall food hall. Yummy.

I have anxiety about the upcoming week. I have to cover all the team lead's work until next Tuesday.

I just learned about the Warn Act here in the United States.

DescriptionThe Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988 is a U.S. labor law that protects employees, their families, and communities by requiring most employers with 100 or more employees to provide notification 60 calendar days in advance of planned closings and mass layoffs of employees

Just google warn act and your state name and you will see a list of Mass layoffs. It could help folks here. But I dont think it includes plant closings. Just a large reduction in staff.
