Aug. 1st, 2021 08:36 pmYesterday I took the cousins to a ceramic place about an hour away. The shop was having a tent sale so I hoped that they would find some interesting things to paint. They Did. We also went out to lunch and had an ice cream.
Today we went out to eat for my Birthday. I picked a place called The Tides. It was a place that we went to when I was young with these cousins. Their Dad really loved teh place so I thought it would bring back good memories. We had a nice table on a closed in porch that gave us full view of the beach. Its a nice beach. Soft silky sand and it has waves. It was low tide when we were there, but I went out and walked it for a few minutes. I splashed in teh water. It nice nice and want and clear. Not like at my home bay beach. I found 3 moon snail shells so I was pleased. Everyone ate too much and the non drivers drank to much, but it was a happy day for all.
There have been some plan changes for the week. My outing with my friend on Wednesday has been cancelled. She is afraid to go out in public because of the rising Covid numbers Sad, but it is what it is. I really need to find a beac buddy.
At the end of the week I wanted to go to Revere beach...the first public beach in The united States ... when when they started saying that. All beaches were public before people ;-)... I noticed a sign on the way to teh restaurant that said Revere was having a sand castle contest at the end of the week. Glad I saw that sign...the beach would have been way too crowded for my taste. It's an inner city beach, but they are supposed to have moon snail shells there. I will go maybe Tuesday or Wednesday.
I wish I could have taken 2 weeks off, but the Boston boss bookended me so I could not be out. I am just grateful she did not pull seniority and take my august week away from me.
