(no subject)

It is 5F out or -15C. I was supposed to go out to Boston this morning, but there is also a heavy wind and the ground is covered in ice...and I am not into sailing into the street unless I have to. I will go out later to visit a friend. It's supposed to be 10F by then so the walking will be 5 degrees better.

Usually I don't let the cold stop me from going out, but there has been a coating of ice everywhere and treads on my shoes have worn smooth so walking on ice has not been really safe. And walking in the street isn't what it used to be as no one will slow down as they go by and I have already had a car less than 2 inches from me...and I am walking very close to the curb.

Yesterday,after the aunts left, the sink in my kitchen turned into a geyser. Not sure what is going on, but I had to shut the water off. A plumber can't happen until after several other things get paid for. Including heating oil. I fear my income tax return is already spent and it will not get to lower the bills I need it to.

Spent a great deal of the night in the ER. A friend who fell on 12/23 finally decided to go to the ER to get X-rays.

Spend too much of the year seeking forgiveness for something I didn't do and something that I had to do... I need to accept that it isn't coming.

The best thing of the year has to be my cat. He is an affectionate little thing and a lovely companion.
