(no subject)

Spent the Day with my 3 aunties and Matthew. Matthew is my Aunt Thomasina's husband. I was expecting 2 people, but four came. No real worries as I got up early to make red sauce (gravy to the Italians) and stuffed shells. One aunt is pretty much a vegetarian and this is one of my few vegetarian dishes. I enjoy cooking for people, but since Ma was not into company I lack hostess experience. I set up a buffet as the dining room is small, but I forgot to put out the bread an butter. Oops.

I like spending time with these aunts. They think I am great. My Dad's side would be considered poor so they are not comparing me to their kids. Actually if they do compare they think it is great that I have not gone to prison and think it's charming that I do not know anything about drug stuff. For not having a lot of things they have a lot of joy and simple things seem to please them. So nice

I was actually surprised they came out. One is 79 and has trouble breathing... and in the cold I know that can can get worse. The weather was in the single digits today and now it warmed a bit to 10 degrees... but there is a -14 windchill outside.
