Dec. 4th, 2018 05:47 pmI have been trying to train my coworker.
She doesn't understand why her laptop will not use the monitor to her old desktop computer...well because the lap top isn't even turned on. Sigh. She thought it only needed to be turned on if you were using it to type,, umm... ???? She starts on me at 5:12 AM . My head.
I am trying to show her how to do something a new/faster way. She is stuck on the newness of the laptop. She doesn't want to type on the keyboard, but also does not want to have a keyboard attached to it. The screen is too small and to bright. The monitor that goes with the laptop is back ordered. She is required to lock it in her desk at night since she doesn't want to carry it home, but she can't crawl on the floor to unplug it so they have me doing that until the monitor comes in...the computer can then be plugged into that. She is not following what I am showing her. I said something to the boss... the answer was, well, he husband died so she isn't able to think... Ummmm... I am getting behind in my work.
Today the coworker was having trouble breathing. Another coworker had on new perfume... I have damaged lungs and it caught in my chest like someone sprayed oven cleaner. Well the older worker only has 1 lung and it is damaged so she was actually sitting next to me panting. I was VERY VERY concerned. She didn't want to go home because she had no more PTO.I was concerned because what if it was something else and not the perfume. I said that I have 9 hours of PTO left and I would give her 4 hours... and I would escort her home too ... The boss just told her to go sit someplace else. Sigh. The woman does not know how to use her new laptop never mind go someplace else and use it alone. I was given her work to do and she was told to get familiar with the new computer.
I am tired and I get to do it all over again tomorrow.
