Day 22 is book

The Janissary Tree by Jason Goodwin. It is a historical mystery where the detective is a Eunuch in the Ottoman Empire. It is a rich universe that would be fabulous made into a cable or net flicks series... something adult as the time had many diverse peoples that including trans people, homosexuality...and while a Eunuch, the lead has desires too.

That sounds like an interesting story! I wonder what unknown roles eunuchs have played in early politics over the centuries...

I know that there were several levels of Eunuchs...some more intact than others. Some of them were generals.
