Are they pictures that you've already posted on Facebook?
Just open the individual picture in Facebook and copy the URL from the address bar in your browser. But people will only be able to see the photo if it's set to public.
Trust me, it's a setting. I could see the address bar on my Mac last summer at work. Maybe it's the default setting in Safari now to hide the address bar, but it should be somewhere in the configuration options to show it again.
I have tried, but I do not keep my pics on the web so it looks like I can't. I used to share a lot of pics on lj and did not have to use an in between program to do it. Selfies of my shoes don't need such effort
Did you upload directly from your computer to an LJ post? I don't remember if I was able to back when I used LJ, I know I used scrapbook. The uploader at dreamwidth is the same as using scrapbook on LJ. Your photos are kept in a gallery here on DW and you manage it from the 'organize' menu on your user info page.
yes, on LJ I just directly uploaded from my computer (I run a Mac)into the lj post.
I did see an upload photo on a menu bar to put photos here on DW. If I do that does it store them with a url so I can then us that to drop an image into my post?
Yes, there's an url and a variety of picture size options. I've used it successfully and others have but some folk have had issues with getting the pix to show and have to fiddle with the security access (choice of public, access list and private). As I said it's still in beta. There's also only 500MB of storage at the moment.
