Do you like to burn scented candles?
What is your favorite comfort food?
Is there a homemade dessert that you make the best in your family?
In the fall I burn a pumpkin scented candle and after thanksgiving I burn a Christmas tree scented candle...even if I don't have a tree.
Spaghetti and meatballs... to be honest when made by my Mother. I need to learn to make meatballs.
I make the family Thanksgiving and Christmas cookies. They are a mincemeat cookie...also called a fruited shortbread cookie. You just crumble up the dried mincemeat into a cake like cookie. The reason mine come out better than my relatives attempts is because I add Cream of Tartar.

Hmmm, I don't know that there's any dessert recipe that I'm better at than my mom. She's a hell of a baker. My two specialties are lemon pound cake and carrot cake though. Both mom's recipes.

Is there a homemade dessert that you make the best in your family? I used to make a killer vegan chocolate pie, until everyone started putting dairy in their chocolate chips, now I can't make it anymore. :(

Date: 2017-12-14 02:47 am (UTC)'pends on the scent. Right now I have a "black cherry" candle going. It's subtle but rich and I actually would buy that candle again.

Colcannon. It's an Irish dish, mashed potatoes and a green veg, like spinach. Loads of butter, accourse.

Yep. I make a killer carrot cake, not to mention the annual krumkakker.
