ravena_kadeDid the demo with Frankie and the vet staff really love how laid back he is.
I hope I can get him to take a puff at 4:30 AM.
I am tired because I am congested. I was grouchy at the boss. Not breathing does that. The IT team is replacing my computer right when I am doing year end reports and I have to back up 2 people on vacation. I snapped. She asked what she could do to help...if she could take something away... I told her no... what I need her to do is say NO to the computer change now so I can finish my reports and then take my last vacation days without stress. She said she had no choice. I threw up my hands...said I know... and I will be in a better mood tomorrow. I will keep that goal.
On the way home a man approached me on the train. He looked to be down on his luck and had some different disabilities and was trying to make eye contact. I felt bad as I had no spare change. It turns out he was truly interested in talking about his day. He felt blessed because he worked a whole day today at the first paying job he has had in a long time. He assured me that he had a job as an artist, but it is not regular pay. He is now a bell ringer at a kettle for the Salvation Army. He wanted to share how good he felt as he smiled all day and people smiled back at him...he wasn't used to that.
It was nice to talk to someone who really didn't want anything from me but a chat on the train.

Date: 2017-12-06 09:51 am (UTC)That was a lovely story of the man on the train. 'Tis the season of goodwill and more people seem to respond to a smile, that's what I love about Christmas but I wish it extended all year round. I hope he continues to have some good luck.
