Apr. 11th, 2026 09:22 pmMy sister leaves in 4 days. I look forward to finding my way back to my normal. I'm exhausted.
Today my sister and partner went to visit friends about 2 hours away. Since the sun was out I did some yard work. I had found out that Walmart would deliver mulch if you order before the runner so I had 6 bags dropped at the house today. I put in a tip on line when I ordered and I tipped the guy a $20 when he said he would bring the bags where I wanted them put. I also saw that Walmart would deliver flowers... nothing special, but I was curious and had some pansies delivered too. I ended up spending 4 hours outside. It was nice. It was my normal.
Dad continues to do well. He is just 6 weeks out from the heart surgery. I took him out for a walk to the corner store where he buys his lottery tickets. The store owner was so happy to see him. He offered to give us a ride home. That was very nice, but I said this was Dad's therapy so the walk was needed. This week Dad will be signed of on Physical Therapy. I don't think the visiting therapist has done much, but the sign off get's Dad closer to going back to work and closer to driving again. Back to his normal.
Part of my new normal is better eating. I think some of my exhaustion is lack of vitamins and too much crap food from eating out. I need lots more veggies. I have some recipes for me. I have been making freezer meals for Dad so I can pull stuff out for him and microwave while I grill or stir fry for myself.
Today that gauche class was released so I bought it.
