Today the bank was closed for Juneteenth. Yay.

I did finish up the water clean up for the yard...13 rainy Saturdays in a row really put me behind. I just need a couple more plants and I will be finished. After the 4th of July I just like to putter in the yard as it's too hot for heavy work.

I also have to get the spa tub set up. Dad just can't get it done. I would have liked it today as it got up to 97 degrees here.

This weekend I am off to the Fantasy Faire in NJ with the sword troupe. Not sure if I am flinging fish or not, but I will bring them. It will be good to get away from family.

I just read that people are working on another protest day for July 4th.
Of course I have to work that night.

Speaking of July 4th, it's going to be interesting to see if any of my family ask to come sit in my front yard for the parade this year.
Other then speaking to my SIL over a month ago, I probably haven't heard from them since last year.

My friends at the sword troupe play villagers and ruffians in the plot of the faire. Their scenes involve the ruffians and villagers fighting off each other. I am not comfortable sword fighting (I dont want to hurt anyone) so I throw rubber fish at the bad guys. I am the fisherman's wife. It's weird how happy it makes me.
