Things that made me happy.
Mar. 16th, 2025 08:07 pmFriday I found out that one of the buildings I worked at years ago is now a Trader Joes...for those not from my neck of the woods, that is a quirky grocery store. It is really convenient to my work so I stopped by and picked up some yummy food. I will make it a habit.
I found a person on You Tube called The Grumpy Old Crone. Every week she whinges on about witchy stuff. I enjoy listening to her. I really enjoy her posts and it has rekindled some old interests of mine.
I finally found a readily avaiable majolica base glaze. Someone made a post on a group I follow that put me on the right path. I ordered a pint to try it out. I have been wanting to do majolica for ages but I got stuck in the research part of it and never moved forward. I do have to start moving forward as I am now finding that the long lived nature of the family may have died out with my Grandmother's sibling. My Mom should have lived to be 100 (from the first medical reports), but she didn't make it to 74 and my cousins are dropping like flies. I really need to be ME before I drop so I need t get started. (wish I could quit the day job but I need a roof over my head).
Yesterday Dad wanted to go to Ipswich for lunch. I was feeling Meh, but I went and had a delicious lobster roll. Lobster makes me happy.
I found a trip put on my the commuter rail people where they take you from Boston to Ipswich and you go on a hike with a naturalist through the dunes of Crane's beach in Ipswich. I have always wanted to do that, but I never felt safe hiking alone. That is next weekend.

Date: 2025-03-17 03:49 pm (UTC)I love Trader Joe's. I used to go there once a week, just 2 miles away, but now there is a lot of construction right between us. So glad you have access to one!
