ravena_kadeAll communications with the boss yesterday was negative and blunt. Sigh. There is definitely a reason she cad a complete staff turn around. That and she expects this green staff to be as skilled at staff that were there before covid. She won't have that unless she lightens her tone.
Came home angry again. Not liking that. I need to start planning a few weekend trips now that Dad is doing okay and not needing the heart surgery.
I did book my 60th Birthday present. It is an all day excursion to look for white sharks, seals, and whales. It takes place on my actual birthday. I also managed to get 4 days off approved. The best weeks for me to take of are the 3rd week of the month because I have no back up. I kick myself for ending up in a job like that again... silly me for believing in boss in the interview when she said she was my back up.
My time at the animal shelter is almost up. They were supposed to move on March 1rst, but it has been delayed. No big shock as the shelter is a city project. I told the volunteer coordinator I would stay because we have 10 dogs (that's a lot for just 3 people to handle), but once May comes I can't do it. I would like to still volunteer but maybe just as a greeter one or 2 weekends a month.

Date: 2025-02-26 03:11 pm (UTC)I still have a bag of dog food from Maggie that I would like to give to the local Humane Society, but they have such lousy hours compared to my schedule. Not sure when I am going to be able to get it there.
