ravena_kadeYesterday the boss was supposed to leave at noon. She goes in big for Super Bowl and always takes the Monday after off. At 7 AM she asks if I am ready with all the accounting for the month. Ummm...I have only had 4 business days. We usually close between the 11th and 13th. The rush stressed me out. Then when I am trying to rush to let her see some of what I planned to post on Tuesday she gives me a project that had to be done that day. She has the documents all week, but the deadline was noon to submit paperwork for tax refunds. A big problem was that the site that set up the passwords was something that our firewall would not let me so I have to work it on my phone. All the while she was asking me about the accounting. I said I am sorry, but if the tax refund is a priority then that is what I am working on. This job doesn't pay enough for me to be stressed out. That is what I didn't want.
Meanwhile the only coworkers in the branch were the new guy and Rudi. Rudi told me that last Thursday he almost got into a fist fight with the guy. The Boss knows this. The boss scheduled the other 2 workers to be at the other branch. He felt he was being punished by being left alone with the other guy. Sad.
This is how annoying the new guy is... Rudi told him to put a paper on the office manager trainees desk. He goes over and instead of putting it on the desk he puts it on top of the over head cabinets attached to the desk... this is 6 feet from the ground. The rest of us, including the boss, are 5'4". In 41 years of office work I have never seen anyone do that. I said something... I asked how anyone was supposed to see paperwork when you put it over their head on a flat surface? Yeah...but he's smarter than all of us because he went to college. I wonder if it was clown college?
Dad came home Thursday. The doc that did the colonoscopy actually said to me that he has the colon of a thirty year old. Ummm... okay.
My cousin who had the stroke is out of ICU and moved to a rehab closer to the family. It is a rehab that has aggressive OT and PT. Yesterday that had her riding a stationary bike and she walked 10 ft. holding on to parallel bars. All good signs.
