ravena_kadeWell a day late, but welcome to 2025. I tried to post but it did not save. Oh well.
Today I wrk from home. I should be starting soon.
New Years eve I visited the elder friends for a quiet few hours. We were supposed to have Chinese food, but instead they wanted tuna salad sandwiches. Umm...okay. Let's just say that my wine selections did not go well with tuna. Sigh. I left at 8:30 and had a marvelous rest of the evening with my cat. And I am not being funny. He was a joy. Love my cat.
Yesterday I visited the aunt and cousins. Another 4.5 hours of just sitting with people who have given up or are just waiting... It's a theme, but I want to see the old aunt as each day is a day...you know.
The theme of this waiting. My elder friends seem to be ...well..let's say waiting for God. So are the cousins with my aunt... and part of me feels that the waiting is purgatory. Oi. I told the oldest cousin that does not live with the herd this last night. She agrees. I told her that if Dad is not going to have the electric heart pump then I am planning a few trips. One with him, but some with friends or alone. I'm not waiting for God... just trying to get time in for fun things.

Sometimes the best thing to do is make memories while you still can.
My partner is into genealogy. One time he got together with his siblings to look at and exchange family photos, and record stories. They had a great time with it. If you could get some of your friends and family together, that might be a memorable way to spend time.
