Dec. 12th, 2024 07:49 pmI am sad today.
I found out on Facebook that a woman I watched on You Tube and interacted with passed away. She inspired me to pick up paint brushes after my Mother passed and her live broadcasts kept me and
countless others company and inspired during the Covid shut down.
She was only 54. They are saying she died of some sort of heart issue and that she died in her sleep. She seemed to be a person that kept up with medical stuff. She had some mental health issues in earlier in the year and was hospitalized. There was plenty of time to just take a look at heart function.
They say heart disease is a silent killer. That's because no one fucking looks for it until a person collapses. My Dad had regular medical visits and even when I brought him into the doctors because of signs that I thought wear heart related we were sent away and 3 weeks later he flopped. My friend's Dad went to an ER because he wasn't feeling well. They sent him home and when he bent over to untie his shoe his heart burst in his chest. Another friend thought she was disabled from Asthma. Nope the doctors misdiagnosed the asthma for 15 year. Turns out she has heart issues and has an embolism on her heart and one day it will just explode as she would not survive surgery.
The medical situation in this country sucks.
I wonder if I walk into a doctor's office and ask for heart tests if they would be covered by insurance? Part of me doesn't want to know as I can't afford any type of treatment. Hell, the 3 root canals I need but haven't had the time to get column sent infection directly to the heart.
Funny thing...for all my Mother's smoking the doctors told me that she had a heart as strong as an ox.
