Dec. 3rd, 2024 08:29 pmThe boss didn't show up yesterday for the member coffee and donut thing promoting a new promotion to get new members. The Boss didn't show up today because she said that she didn't want to share germs. The workers were not thrilled as it looks like the boss is just doing whatever she wants.
I started month end yesterday. I have a list of things so I can get started on my own for the first day of the month. She then sends me my performance/training plan that she said she would send me a month ago. It is just a spreadsheet listing reports and a date of 12/31/2024. UMMMM...that is not a plan. I want to do the corporate thing and set up meetings/training sessions, etc. Sigh. I said that we could go over the plan tomorrow when she came in... not knowing that she wouldn't be here. I also asked if we could discuss a report as I had questions on the funds that came in.
Today she says she looked at the report and fixed what I did. OMG...that is not training. I wanted to talk about it. She sends another email saying that she downloaded all the statements to do the accrued investment interest report. I get confused on that as there is a lot of manipulation. I don't understand why we just don't post the interest earned as stated on the CD monthly statement. That and I am supposed to be trained on how to pull the statements. I need to be given the websites and passwords. She just did them. How is that training.
Another email reprimanding me about how I should not have done my daily work but focused on month end. Umm..it's only 8 AM. I have 6 hours to focus on month end. It was only day 2.
I ended up getting confused on the report and called for clarification. I have procedures that were written for me, but they are vague and she does not do it the same way so I get confused. Then I don't see it for another month so I loose the memory of this because I am forced to bounce to another report right away. I called her and I could practically hear her fists balled up and shaking as I asked questions. She was also eating and I could hear the food in her mouth. I make her pause and I wrote notes...nots that will be typed up at home. I'd like her to read them, but that would piss her off.
I asked if she would be in tomorrow as I would like to have some one on one time (you know, face to face). She said that she wasn't going to come in as she didn't have enough to do in the office (WTF) and that she wants me remote to work on month end. She wants it rushed because of the holidays. Great. Not how I learn.
I am just trying to hang on until February. Then if she fires me I can just job hunt as I take care of my Dad. I still think that learning this would be good for me. I still think that if I finally get it down I can come and go as I please. She can stay in Maine and do CEO meeting things and I can just fill out reports as I work remote. The problem is that I may smack her first. I have no patience being spoken to like I am crap.
I also have been told that I can't file for FLMA until I have a surgery date... and I won't know that until his last test sometime in January.

I understand that she wants things to be like they were 2 or 3 years ago, but she drove everyone else away and the new team is too green and immature. If she had sat with me proper then we would be over this now. She should have hired a bookkeeper with experience...but then they would want more than $24 an hour. I'm there because it's Dad's heart place.

That doesn't sound right about the FMLA situation.
When I did it for dad, I just signed up for a years time for off and on needs.
