Yesterday was a putter around the house day. I had to be around for an electrician to come and install a plug in Dad's bedroom that would be safe for heart pump (he has to be plugged into the wall for the night while his batteries charge). I was happy to find one that would come in on a Saturday. He also fixed the downstairs kitchen light for me.

I like putter around the house days as I don't get them that much. Usually I have so many chores that I feel overwhelmed. I only had one chore and that is to start emptying a closet and my dresser so that my sister and partner have a place for their clothing and linens. I will need to make a space in the craft room for my clothes and stuff.

Today I worked in the ceramic cellar, did meal prep for the week, laundry, and went to the cousins with Dad. At the cousins I sat with my Aunt. I had brought a couple of food magazines and we looked at them together. I had her mark recipes that looked good to her and I said that I would make them and we could try them together.

I just received a text from the boss saying that she has an upset stomach so she won't me in to morrow. Umm...okay. Gee, how about having a cup of tea and seeing how you feel in the morning? If it were me I would just kneel before the porcelain god and make an offering. Get it over with. It's probably too much food and alcohol from her Christmas party/tree trimming gathering today. It's good to be the boss.

I also wish I could be the boss some time and do as I please. Sadly, I am at the other end of the totem pole. :o

My Aunt is my last connection with my Mom. There are things she says in a way that I can hear my Mother's voice. I will loose that when she is gone.

If your boss keeps El Loser and fires you, I think you have a case. She definitely seems to be cruising on low-effort road.

You are so good to upend things for your sister. Sometimes I envy people who are cared for so effortlessly, but then I think about what a passive life that is and *shudder*

To be fair, I'm frelled if Frank passes before me.
