ravena_kadeThe week has been meh.
I was supposed to work from at home Thursday morning and then go to my friend's mother's funeral. The stupid remote software did not work. The boss had my work computer updated and so the laptop needed an update, but it did not work. So at 5:00 AM I ran the 1.5 miles to the T so I could catch the shuttle bus. The buses go on the expressway so the latter you are the more traffic there is. My commutes have been 2 hours long. It's not been fun.
Dad had 4 medical things this week. Right now the med that is making him feel better is screwing with his kidney function. Between the appointments and phone calls it is interfering with my work. I don't knowhow many more tests and appointments are needed for the Lvad pump approval. I know the last test will be a colonoscopy and he must be in the hospital for the prep and procedure. I asked that it not be at Thanksgiving... not that I care about holidays, but it would be awkward. The Cardiologist laughed and asked who would do that? I said my cousins have done it so the invite you over for a dinner but then get grouchy if you ate.
I point blank asked for help 4 times. I said I can't do everything. All of his bills are late and 2 of mine are. Tomorrow it is bill day. All of them. He has so many. He says nothing. I wake up screaming. The only one who wants to help is my 86 year old aunt...but she can't cook for him, she can't do the finances, and she can't clean... and she's 86..I'd have to take care of her.
I am tired. I am also really missing my usual background noise...Food Network. I have very little I can watch in the living room now. Not much on basic cable. Next year maybe I can get a new Roku TV. For now I use my computer and the Roku in the bedroom.
