Tuesday I was very angry going into work. I sat with the boss to go over some reports. I knew she was all fired up to get this stiff done as she is on vacation next week. I let her type and we talked about the report. One of the problems I have is that she will show me a report at light speed and then I don't have a chance to write the procedure immediately after. I just can't remember where all the data comes from when it all looks the same. Then I look at the notes that were left me and they gather the data in a completely different manner. I have got my laptop set up at home. It is connected and I even got the printer working. It seems to be a good laptop, not the refurbished shit my old bank job gave us. It is heavy...heavier than my Mac book pro, I am toying with getting myself a 32 inch monitor like I have in work. Not sure. I may try and hook up the 2 monitors that I have from when I worked remote for covid. My goal is to pick one report and make detailed procedures...with explanations of what the report is used for.Then I will schedule am meeting with the boss to go over them I want them good enough that the office manager trainee can open them up and complete a task. I may need someone to do things when my Dad's situation changes. The laptop will allow me to do things at home when the mood strikes me. Next Month I will try to do all the month end reporting at home. When the boss returns from vacation I want to set up a schedule for remote working. One day will be any tome Dad has a non Boston medical appointment. If there are no appointments then I'd like to be remote on Wednesdays and Fridays. Now let's hope she doesn't fire me when she comes back. I think she would be foolish to do so since 3 out of 5 tellers are looking for new jobs since she has done nothing about the new annoying pain in the butt guy. Not only would she need to train a new bookkeeper she would also have to train the tellers.
