It took 2 hours to get to work today. I left the house at 4:30...the only things on the street were rabbits, rats, and 3 young coyotes. Joy. She shuttle bus came at 5:03 to take us to Ashmont then I was on the first train out. Dad was in good spirits. He called me at 7 AM and his boss at 9 AM. I told him his homework to call his sister. I love my aunt. She is my favorite, but she can talk for hours. They are trying him on a new medication that will open up his arteries to help the blood flow through them easier as the heart can't pump it. His BP was doing good. I asked if they had him stand up. The test is in walking around, not laying in a bed. The doc also talked more about the pump. She thinks that if the meds don't work that a pump can give him a few more active quality years. she said it was because he said he was feeling crappy. I had him explain that it meant that he was out of breath, but it never stopped him from going out. He just sits down and then gets up in a minute. This would be another open heart surgery to put it in and it would be a 2 month recovery. She said the they would need to run tests to see if he is eligible. Something to think about. He could still travel and fly, but could not go through a metal detector. He also could never go swimming. The boss ordered me a laptop today. It will be sent to the IT people to configure it for me. I suppose it means that she really does want me to stick around. Now I just have to understand all the reporting. She also did see just how distracting things are. As we were talking at my desk one of the guys comes over and interrupts and starts telling her all about him starting Ozempic for weight loss. Hijacked my meeting with her so I went back to my daily tasks. It proved that working remote some days would be more productive.

Is it wrong to say, so many people have had such great results from these drugs and it's supposedly helping with so many different things, but I keep waiting for the other foot to fall and something bad coming from them. :o :o :o
