Spent time working in the yard this weekend. It was good to soak up some vitimin D. Spent way too much time doing house wife shit and I am not a wife. I am exhausted. If I was a wife I'd have a partner to help. This week there is a cardiologist appointment to go over the results of the echo. Yes, heart is getting worse. Fine. I need to ask if Dad can have cataract surgery. If not he goes blind like my Mother. Great. Why the dumb shit didn't keep going to the eye doctors is infuriating. Too cheap to do regular things ends up costing huge amounts later...like not wanting insurance, etc. I also need to talk about food. If I add some sodium back to dinners will it kill him? His heart is getting worse anyways. He also eats out 4 times a week. I spent 6 hours doing meal prep with everything low to no sodium and it all tastes like shit and I don't want to eat any of it now, but the cost of the food ate up the food budget money. Some things I can just salt, like steak or veg, but soups and stews have no depth of flavor. And I will never buy a no salt added tomato product ever again. The cousins never updated me today about my Aunt. They said that she will be kept at least until Monday. I just hope that everyone's getting some sleep.

I hope your dad gets the cataract surgery. It's not so much surgery as a procedure, a bit like going to the dentist but at a an eye clinic. I had drops in my eyes to numb the feeling (didn't feel a thing) and I was in and out in just over an hour and back home. I'm not sure how that would affect someone with heart failure.

I don't think they use general anesthesia for cataract surgery. The internet says they just use a local and it looks like the sedation is more the sort of thing where they're trying to relax you, not knock you unconscious. I would think that since it's a "relax" level of sedation that his heart should tolerate it.
