ravena_kadeYesterday was Lobster Day.
Dad did well on the whale watch. Im glad. He even came up to the rail of the boat with me. The seas were relatively calm so I think that is why. We saw whales. 3 of them seemed to keep close to the boat like they were watching is. We did not get back to land until 3:00pm
Headed to a seafood restaurant in Winthrop. My idea was that we would eat lobster, then he would drop me off at Revere beach and I would make my way home after a beach walk... nope. The skies opened up with torrential rain for the ride home. Lots of traffic as the local roads flash flooded. It was not the end of the world... Not a bad day and It was good just to spend it with Dad without cousin interference.
Today he wants to go out again. Maybe the white mountains, but I am thinking Maine. To get to the white mountains it's a 2.5 hour drive. Since the weekend is the end of lobster week I want the sea...and it is half the drive. Thinking of Maine...Perkins cove, The marginal mile, a beach for a little walk, and the Maine Diner for Lobster pie. There is a pottery shop that I really want to visit. I also want to check it out for maybe a vacation spot for me. I can get up there by Amtrak. I need a weekend by the sea just to paint and walk. REALLY. Maybe invite people I now who love to spend their days reading, then I would have dinner buddies. It's a plan.
