Went away with Phoenix Swords last weekend. Had a nice time even though the weather was HOT HOT HOT and swamp humid.

It was also good to eat food that I wanted to eat.

Work is work., The boss thinks that 20 minutes last week will show me everything I need to know. Umm...no.
One major problem was that I found that she was doing the reports wrong. I have been able to follow the notes using the reporting done by the guy I replaced.

The good news is that the Boss' mom went home on Tuesday. 3 weeks ago they were planning her funeral. She spent time in a rehab and had a med change and physical therapy. On Wednesday she asked to go to the casino to play her favorite slot machine. Hopefully the boss can concentrate more and not make the errors I was finding.

I have had some people disappoint me and others give me flack. I had to remind Dad that I am not his wife or his servant. I need some help from my sister, but I don't know what she can do far away. I don't need her money, but I need help.

If business doesn't pick up Dad's boss will not renew the lease and close the shop. That set off and bit of a panic attack. I am worried as my apartment is not ready to rent out and I don't want live in the cellar.

Saturday morning I am heading to a beach early.

Sunday is my other nice Aunt's birthday.

I have offered to make my pulled pork recipe for the cousins on July 4th. If they don't eat it all it can be frozen and easily reheated...and is one of the few things I can make low sodium that tastes good.

YUM pulled pork sounds good. :)
Unfortunately, if I am serious about watching the diet to try and help against gout flares, pork is a no no. :( :( :(

I hope the boss lady gets her act together. :o :o :o
And fingers crossed your dad's business place stays going. :o
HUGS, Jon

the fact that your boss was doing the reports wrong is not a shock.

i'm sorry about the money woes/your Dad's job. if the house is in both you and your sister's name, inheritance-wise, and she offers to help out if your Dad gets let go, i'd take it, honestly. i hope you have a good Saturday beach day and a great 4rth <3

If your sister is offering money, darling, take it.

You complain that she's otherwise no help. Well, some people only know how to throw money at a problem. Maybe this is her attempt at helping.

There are plenty of meal prep services out there. Have her buy a subscription to that for him.
The meals are pre-portioned and easy to cook, they just get delivered on a weekly basis and lots of them can be customized to the dietary needs. Seriously look into those. That would be a nice way for her to help AND take a lot off your plate.
