Yesterday I went with my Dad to his younger sister's 80th birthday party. It was good to see her and my Dad's other sister. The house was chaotic/. 10 great grandchildren under 8 years old. 6 grand children all under 35 and 4 of her own children. I was the only niece. The funny thing was that the little kids were very good and played. My cousins and their kids all have various mental heath and physical health issues so all but 2 grandchildren all have cognitive function issues. My aunt seems to hold them all together.

This chaos is the complete polar opposite to the chaos of my Mother's family.

In then end these aunts make me feel good. They WANT to talk to me, not at me. They both complimented me on the new hair style I had. I could come in to my other cousins looking like a movie star and the would just point out if I had a chipped fingernail.

Since it was raining today I went to the cousins with Dad. I wanted to see the cousin with the cancer. She was in the hospital for almost 3 weeks and was home one day and had to go back to the ER 2 days later. She has an upper respiratory infection and was negative for COVID. They think she has the infection because of her seasonal allergies. The radiation has damaged the cells that would help her immune system fight off the effects on her lungs. They have given her oxygen and antibiotics so it doesn't turn into pnuemonia
