ravena_kadeThis morning I could tell Frankie was scratching more. His lower jaw was abraded. I called the vet and they gave me a steroid for him... $60 for 12 pills. Sigh.
The boss was very okay with me leaving at 2 PM today. It is Memorial Day weekend and traffic is terrible. I am glad there was no problem.
It took 40 minutes for the bus to get to the train. Dad met me at the Quincy translation and we headed south to the Vet's office... lots of stupid traffic.
came home and found Frankie had ripped out more fir on his lower jar and the skin is a mess. I cleaned and died the wound. Popped a pill in his mouth. Covered the wound with gauze and then cut the foot off a sock and put it over his head in a bunch so if he tries to scratch his foot will catch the sock. The steroid should kick in soon.

We just had a really lame "parade" drive through town tonight. :o
