ravena_kadeThis morning Dad had gained 3 pounds so I had to alter dinner... he got a salad. I ate nothing. Everything I planned would be wasted on one person and I am not a fan of leftovers. I hate making my own salad.
It was raining today so I took a ride with Dad to the JFK translation to wait for an early bus. Weird, when I walk to work I see about 30 to 50 bunnies. How cute. At JFK as I waited at 4:45 AM there were about 20 rats. Ewww. A cop pulled up beside me and asked if I was okay ...perhaps because I did not look like the usually homeless person. I said okay aside from all the rats over there in the grass. He parked his suv and turned on the lights to scare the rats and stayed at the station until other people came. The bus came a few minutes later.
I went to the dentist tonight. My BP was excellent for me. 117 over 84. I think the hygienist took it wrong. I feel as if it is much higher.
Strangely I have a silent infection going on with 3 teeth. The nerves have been dead for a while (2 are under root canal caps) so I feel no great pain. The tips of the roots are disintegrating. The issue is that the infection in the 2 top teeth can get into my sinus cavity or my brain. The infection in the lower jaw will make my bone less dense and the bridge it is under can just snap off. Great. This job comes with very little time off and I don't have the money to treat any of it. I will try and book a consult if the insurance will pay for it and try to take are of 1 tooth this year and one next. Healthcare will cover it if they get bad enough that I go unconscious. Im just happy the teeth are dead. I am not surprised as New Year's day had me gargling with whiskey to dull the nerve pain. I know when nerves are dying.

Date: 2024-05-02 01:19 am (UTC)I find my teeth troubles more worrying than all the other things. I've been at various dental offices a lot for the past few months and this is going to continue. Probably forever. Ugh.
It takes a loooong time to get appointments here. Especially with endodontics and oral surgeons. I suppose that will continue forever also.
I'm so cheery today. (sarcasm)
I just learned a weird thing: when a tooth is dying, it may not hurt for quite a while. Sometimes a tooth will hurt with scary, zinging pain after a patient does a course of antibiotics. Not necessarily antibiotics for a tooth, just for any reason. This new pain can be the first awareness that the tooth is sick. They don't know why this occurs. It doesn't always happen and it doesn't happen to everyone. But this just happened to me -arrrhh! I guess I should be grateful because a root canal might save the tooth; later it might be too far gone to save.
