Apr. 14th, 2024 08:47 pmYesterday Dad and I went up to Ipswich for a lobster roll and then I went to my favorite nursery and bought bunch of orange pansies and orange and purple violas. Nice to get some flowers for out front.
Today Dad and I had a Father/Daughter bonding moment over a chainsaw. I needed to cut down the skeleton of my 9 ft butterfly bush and we had some downed tree limbs. I needed him to show me how to use it. That and I would never use a chainsaw alone incase something happened. The thing is heavy enough that I could hit my leg if I moved it the wrong way and it sagged in my grip.
Before we left for the cousins I decided to snap some branches and foolishly did not use my gloves. The garden drew first blood today... so happy it wasn't with the chainsaw. A thicker branch of the butterfly bush slipped and I stabbed the fleshy part between forefinger and thumb in 4 places. I have it wrapped now. Crappy that it is my right hand. Hopefully I can use it for yard work tomorrow.
The cousin with cancer seems to be giving up already. Won't eat, won't walk, won't even go int the bathroom. Her sister is taking care of her like a nurse. Sad...and the other thing is that all body fluids are toxic because of the chemo and will be more when it's time for radiation. It's just sad.
