Apr. 4th, 2024 07:53 pmLast night, or rather very early this morning (2 AM) Frankie brought me a not dead mouse as a gift... ewwww... Since it was rather stunned I was able to get it and bring it outside. It was monsooning then, but he was lucky to be outside than eaten by my fur ball.
Today's commute was interesting. I didnt want to drown in the monsoon so I had Dad drop me off at the train station in Dorchester since it's on his way to work. I was there way early but thought I could stand in one of the bus shelters and keep dry until one of the cross town busses came by. Well the shelters have no real roofs. They are build under an overhang and with the gale wind gusts the rain was blowing inside. I went to check another of the bus shelters and there were 4 homeless people sleeping in there. One was awake and went to move. I told him it was okay... I could go in the train station. I went up the 3 flights of stairs and the station was locked. Joy. =P I did end up getting to work a bit early, but not much. I am very happy I had my key and didnt have to stand outside or sit in the ER.
For the second time this week the service reps at work did not properly download the checks that they received so the funds never ade into the credit union account, but the members accounts showed the money. This throws off several general ledger accounts that I balance. The boss has not been in since Monday because of threatening weather. Today she got the weather.. a lot of snow and lost power. She was corking on her cell phone. I informed her of the issue mostly because when I told the service reps that they checks were not received, they just shrugged and said that they processed then and that they are not affected. Umm... yeah...NO... Boss was not pleased.
Tomorrow I want to walk the beach at the house. This storm brought a tone of waves so there should be interesting things washed up. Maybe more star fish. I need to be careful though. They say starfish are one of teh stinkiest things to dry. The one I found easter is on the front porch. I soaked it in bleach so I home it wont smell.
