Mar. 7th, 2024 09:37 pmContractor cousin is still in the hospital. They did a PET scan. He had apparently had a cardiac cath done at the smaller hospital and they thought it didn't look good. Sad that his sisters all interpreted everything they were told as there was no damage and he would be home in a few days. My Dad said that there had to be damage. The girls tried to tell him he didnt know...and Dad reminded them that he knows and that he died 3 times in the hospital...he knows even if he doesnt have all the medical words.
The text that I received Yesterday was that the PET scan showed that almost all of the heart was viable and that the med staff were surprised. Ummm...that says to me that the smaller hospital had to have told them that surgery didn't look good. The new hospital (where I work now) believe that a double bypass will work but the cousin needs to think about it. My Dad is confused about the thinking on it. Fix it or die is Dad's thinking. Simple, but not wrong.
As for me I finally got all my insurance cards. Yay. I'm not sure my doctors are on this plan. Sigh. That must be looked into this week end (along with the taxes) I need to get my own health in order... especially since there is all this heart disease in the family now. That and I ache from the commute. My quads and feet ache constantly from the run up and down 5 flights of concrete stairs to either catch the bus or train. If one is missed then I add an hour to my commute.
I'd kill for a foot massage right now.
I want to walk barefoot in the ocean. I want my tan.

Date: 2024-03-08 10:19 am (UTC)The funny thing is that I always walk so I am not doing much more. It's the pounding on the cement stairs and running. The train station is the same one I used to work at for the big bank... and I took them for ten years. I'm just to old and heavy now for running.
