I did not make it to the beach Saturday. A friend was traveling from the midwest to the east coast so I stayed home and I would chat with them when they got tired of driving alone. A good deed that got them home.

Sunday was a Tea that was a fundraiser for the library in a small town that a younger cousin lives in. We like Teas. Sadly the young cousin got the time wrong and we were 45 minutes late. Oops. Tea and cakes were still good.

Today it was warm and calm so I went to Revere Beach. It was nice. Found some shells. The wrack line was so pretty. Lots of blues and purples and pinks in the shells. We have has some rough weather that washed up some deep water wells.. I took home 4. There were also clusters of small/baby blue muscles. They were blue black and shined like jewels. I also found a red translucent smooth knob. It looked like glass in the water, but it maybe plastic or lucite. It is odd. Not sure what it could be, but it is on my window altar with my favorite shells.

Tomorrow there is a storm coming. I hope we just get rain.

Wednesday I start my new job. I really dont want to go, but I'm not old enough to retire.

In my head the only thing that keeps me from retiring today is not being old enough for Medicare. :o :o :o
Otherwise I could easily walk away from my job NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The medicare thing is a "me too".

I hate spreadsheets and banking, but no one else would hire me. I have 6 years.

I just want to be able to concentrate on arts and crafts... I want to be able to claim back my title as artist and be taken seriously for it.

I turn 61 in March and I have never wished away my life as much as I do now.

Sad that my career has come down to that level. :(

It always sounds so calming when you walk your beaches. I miss living by the sea for that. I was able to retire at 60 with a state pension and small occupational pension. Now women and men can't retire until 67 unless they have a good private pension, and it'll be 68 by 2028. Soon they'll have everyone working until they die!

Good luck with the job, I hope you like it there.

Thank you. I hope it's a simple job so I wont feel so stressed everyday. I want to paint and I couldn't relax to do it in the last 7 years.
