ravena_kadeThursday should have been my Mother's 81st Birthday.
Thursday was a funk day for me. I had body aches as a result of the flu shot that I had to get for the job. I went back to bed after I did Dad's vitals and didn't get up until 9. Then I just lazed around for the day.
I also tried to schedule appointments for Dad and found out that while the doctor's offices say they are open until 7 PM, no one is taking appointments after 3:30. I don't get out of work until 3:30. So I had to cancel his appointments because I have to work. It stresses me out. He wont go without me because he can fill out forms, wont talk too the Dr or remember what they tell him. I knew this would be a problem. This job requires you to earn PTO time so when I earn days I can make appointments if they allow me to take half days or taking 2 hours off at a time. They use workday so I should be able to see when the team has off so I can try and take hours. This part of the job sucks. While I personally don't mind working in the office it's already caused arguments.
Friday I did some errands and then went to DQ's apartment for a visit. She is scheduled for Surgery next week. She has cancer in her nose. They are going to have to slice open her nose and cut out the cancer...all in a such a small not really thick area. The surgery is a risk because she has a heart problem. When she has teh surgery I will go over and be with her disabled roommate. Ill make dinner for the roommate and a couple other women DQ cooks for. Another friend will be there to bring DQ home. She should only have to stay overnight if her BP goes too low.
Today was an errand day and chore day. Saturdays always go by so fast.

Date: 2024-02-05 09:54 pm (UTC)Sadly before the CEO would send me the offer letter she emailed me to make sure that my Dad's appointments will never affect my work...That is not legal. People don't say that anymore to people with kids. I told her about an appointment on March 1 that I could not cancel. I told her that before my second interview.
Now none of my Dad's Dr's have any appointments after 4 so I have had to cancel all of them but the one in September. I'll request a whole PTO day for that.
