Jan. 30th, 2024 08:44 pmToday I was offered the job at the Credit Union.
The pay is a small pay cut from the bank job. I knew that would happen, but they did give me more than the minimum of the range so that is good. I just have to be wiser with my money as I know I only have 5 years to go before I can get medicare... if I hate the place I'll run at 60.
The vacation is not great, I go back to entry level, but my goal is to save for a kitchen. My severance will help with that, but 10K of the kitchen will end up going to an electrician... sigh. Can't think of that now....Maybe I should date an electrician ;-)
My hours are 7 to 3:30. This is a plus. Because I have worked over 30 years to 3:30 my brain starts shutting down at 3... there has been speculation from my doctors that my blood sugar just might be dropping and I should eat fruit then.
The commute will be the hardest one I have done in my 41 years of working, but I like the area. It might even be an okay commute once all the train lines stop catching on fire.
While I am not all super excited (these tease of the senior center still has me sad) I am super curious. How does a finical place run with just 6 people? Some things must be outsourced. I am curious to learn.
I am nervous as I need a TB vaccine, and MMR vaccine, a Flue vaccine and I think a chicken pox vaccine because I am considered hospital staff. Every time I got the flue vaccine I got sick as a dog. The covid vaccines only gave me migraines. I hope the hospital can do them as I don't have healthcare to pay for them. If they can wait then I can get them from a doc once I have healthcare... and I also think ill give in and get BP meds

Date: 2024-01-31 11:00 am (UTC)You can always keep looking just in case. But, this will give an income while doing that if you do.

Date: 2024-02-01 01:09 am (UTC)Of course now I suppose the senior center will probably call you. UGH........
A TB vaccine? I didn't know there was one. :o
We always use to just get tested and they don't even do that any more. :o
I would think the hospital would have to do them and pay for them if they are mandatory for you working there. :o
Hugs, Jon
