I have been a lump today. This is 3 days in a row. It's not good. I have things I want to do, but can't get out of my own way.

This sentence is distracting me. "You are the candidate that has made the final round with me" It's from the email that the person I was supposed to meet with sent. Was I going to get a job offer or did I have to meet with someone else? Does the board need to approve?

I still need to apply to jobs to keep my unemployment. I did turn down 2 second interviews from places that my gut wasn't comfortable about... Toilet flush recruiter was one of them.

I know I don't want an aggressive job. And I know I dont want to work until 6 PM. I would never be able to get home, cook dinner for Dad and ever get to do much of anything else.

Once I get a yes to the job my thing was to look into Shopify or Square space to set up an online presence to show, and hopefully sell my jewelry and other things. I cant focus on that while doom scrolling the job listings.

Yes, the wording isn't clear to me. If she said I want to hire you if you can wait, I would wait...and try to wrap up a few things before I started a job...

As for toilet flush... I had an interview with a recruiter that sounded like he was 10 years old. And I could here him running water in the sink as we spoke and then a toilet flushed in the background. Now these things would not usually put me off from a job, but he could not tell me where the office was moving to as he was in Florida and the office in the city where I live, but they were going some place else... and the commute matters to me in taking a job.

My guess is they will pick their person and that needs approval.

I think it sounds positive. But all the job hunting advice I've ever seen is not to assume you have a job until you actually start the first day. Because stuff happens.

So keep sending out resumes. Keep applying. And even if you get an offer, you can use that to negotiate better pay (or maybe more PTO).

It's getting hard to find anything that I can fit into. Everything is so specific and then there are things I know I can do ut they throw in someone weird like soaking fluent Japanese...

I have been trying to find things like the senior center, but not much luck. So now I apply to anything I can find that comes with healthcare.
