Jan. 4th, 2024 10:40 amFeeling a bit punkie. The nerve pain stopped...it probably died. I probably have a low grade infection. The dentist is back from vacation next week. I'll see if I can get an antibiotic. I dont know if a minute clinic would be bale to prescribe for teeth issues.
Went to ceramics class last night. The shop keeper "friend" is letting the person who pours for her go. They have not showed up. November to December is a ceramic shops busiest season. Its where you make money to get though January and February..if there is snow there is often no parking. Well I say let me know if you need me. The shop keep is like "Oh I can do it". Then later on the car ride home she is talking about it again and says maybe someone will come along. WTF. Am I supposed to beg?
Yesterday I also had a meeting with that career coach person ...it wasn't long. Her opinion is that I am not stalking my friends and family enough for jobs. Not her words, but that's what it means. I said that my family is unwilling to help and my friends are all professionals and their skills are not my skills. I am not a writer, a doctor, a lawyer, etc. I asked her if she could refer me to anything? No. She asked if I had the personal phone numbers of anyone I worked with before to try and hit them up. Umm...no. Oi. She thinks the issue I have is the degree. Okay fine. I have one more session with her. I told her I would have my final meeting after a virtual job fair I have on the 16. If nothing comes out of that then I would have to go to the local super market and see what I can do. I like food. It could be fun.
I did my 3 hour job hunt today and submitted a resume to Stop & Shop careers, just in case there is an office match. I also heard back from one of the Hospitals about a book keeping job. The interview is Monday. I dont think it will work, but each interview is a good thing. I also heard from a bank in Southie doing back office work and I am trying to set up that interview now.

Date: 2024-01-05 12:09 am (UTC)It's ridiculous at our sort of age to insist on a degree; job and life experience is far more valuable.
