Funny how the ceramic shop almost in Rhode Island offers me a job, but not the shop here. It wouldn't work even if I had a car as it would take over 2 hours to get there and back in traffic time and is only minimum wage.

My almost SIL chimed in that the senior center was only being nice and that they didn't want me ever. Gee, thanks.

Looked through 650 jobs this morning. Nothing for general office work. Done for the day. On to better things for now.

Nice has nothing to do with it. Nobody (and I mean nobody) wastes their time interviewing people if they don't have a job opening or don't think the person might potentially be a good fit. Ain't nobody got time for that.

If you're not already reading it, can I recommend (again) Ask a Manager (https://www.askamanager.org/) to get an impartial view of what's reasonable to expect during a job hunt?

My friend Mike who's pre-doctorate and been looking for a job since August finally got a paid internship with the MBTA...So....I hope that's a good sign and someone will pick you up.
