Saturday I went out with Dad, 2 cousins and my Aunt for dinner and to see the lights in the Square of the city I live in. Dinner was nice. Too many menu choices confuse my Aunt now, but she enjoyed what she had and Dad enjoyed his. We all like going out to eat (even if some of us shouldn't) We walked through the square, Aunt in a companion wheel chair, and enjoyed the warm temps and lights. They did a good job with the lights, better than some of the lights in Boston. It was good to see Dad walking around this year... if this was last year he would have needed a wheel chair.

Sunday I was very very out of sorts, Longing for friends and traditions lost. Missing someone I cared for in the past. I visited the friends in the elder housing for a few hours audit was nice. They were also missing people and traditions. We shared the time each understanding what the other was going through, but not needing to speak about it. It was a pleasant visit. I brought shrimp and fruit and we had nice wine. I felt better by the end of the night.

Christmas day was family day. I had cooked some things that Dad likes and can eat to be healthy. The cousins did a pot luck and watched football. I spent some quiet time in a comfy chair. It was a good day as there were no arguments.

Last night was Shelter night too. There were only 2 of us, but we make it. There were 9 dogs. 7 of them large amped up breeds... I am sore this morning from all the pulling last night.

Today I may wonder to find my Christmas feast..lobster =) Maybe I will wander to the ocean as well. This week I hope to head north as well. To the sea and Salem.
