I received a rejection email tonight from the interview that I thought I did really well on.

So the 2 interviews this week that took up phone time, travel planning time, a few miles walking, kept me from seeing Godzilla, and kept me from painting just turned out to be a waste of time.

I was good for the phones... but not in person. One wanted more quiet and not dynamic. The other maybe the same. That and I am old.

Bah

But at least I know.

Tomorrow is a craft show. I am disappointed enough that I don't even want to go... but I need to or all the time and paint I used getting things ready would be another waste.

I am putting away my brushes. I cant waste time like that.

I need to find an alternative to office jobs...but I don't want to have to live in my cellar.

Oh, I'm so sorry that's what happened. So disappointing! It's hard to keep your spirits up in that situation--at least I always found it that way. I'm sending hugs and hope you have better news in the future.

Thank you. I find it discouraging because several people from the bank I worked at moved over to the place that rejected me. They were looking for a better fit.

The other place was my target company. Now I dont know if I could ever work there for any job. I am a hard worker. My conversations was all examples of that.

So I dont fit into a bank and an insurance company...and that is what I have been doing for 38 years aside from ceramics... and even my friend with the ceramic shop wouldn't hire me.

From what you've written about her, I don't think it's a matter of "wouldn't" but that she doesn't bring in enough money to be able to afford to hire anyone to help her.

No, they cant say that. They use the term "Fit in with our team" The team is all in their 30s as they pay is entry level.

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Employer just announced their salary adjustments for next year for the none union employees, and some people are brown nosing the %'s but others are not happy.
First of all, the newer the employee, the bigger the raise.
Just more proof they don't give a crap about their senior employees. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's really hard to not get discouraged when you're job hunting. Every time you get excited about a job you want to get an offer, and that's not always going to happen. Getting interviews is a success! Every job you apply for they're going to interview more than one person, so you can't assume that just because the interview went well that you got the job. Every interview is practice for the next one, and you get more experience with what sorts of questions you're going to be asked and how you want to answer those questions.

Don't think of it as failure, think of it as practice. You're a good worker, there are a lot of people out there looking for workers, you'll find a job.

Oh I know every interview is good, but the feed back just was discouraging. I would not fit in. I may not be quiet enough. And it's It's just scary not having any health care.
