My Thanksgiving was better than last year. No-one in the hospital this time.

The cousins was ok. I didn't want go in the morning, but that's where Dad wants to be. There were 20 for dinner.

The boy that ran amuck at my photo shoot was there. He has learned that if he makes a stink he can get his way as the adult dont want him screaming around the 94 year old great grandma. A lot of kids do this. He threw a tantrum because he wanted to eat in the big dinning room. His great grandmother and my Dad were already seated. I usually eat with Dad, but I didn't go in because I wanted my dinner in peace...not that I couldn't have eating with a little kid. Its just that his parents were not going to eat with their son so the grand parents were with him and arguing... I ate with another cousin in a small side too. Dad was not happy as he was stuck in a corner and could not get up and leave.

I left at 4:30. Another cousin was leaving so I asked for a ride. Dad stayed to watch more football.

Yes, not too bad, They have been years where it almost turned into a brawl. Oh boy.

In many ways I'm so glad I've never really had to do this family stuff.

When his old mum was still with us we used to go up to Scotland at Christmas and she thought I was the best thing since sliced bread. :o)

There are days I would rather visit my Dad's sisters. They think I am great because I am responsible. The husband (my aunt was married before and I grew up with that husband as my uncle) thinks Im a dreamer but really enjoys talking with me.

I find the kid's situation sad.

He is going to be 5 next week. He is a diabetic that needs insulin shots and the amounts need to be calculated for each meal..and he must eat everything that was used for the calculation even if he doesn't want to finish the meal.. because they parents didn't want to calc the Thanksgiving foods the made him eat a crappy frozen dinner (because of the nutrition info on the box) and them he was suppose to sit there and just watch everyone else eat the "feast" This kid is so screwed up.

Now I feel sorry for the kid too. That's horrible!

If the parents did that they would have to listen to him cry and they do everything to avoid that. =(

At 5 my Mom would have just said... Okay, you cant behave then we have to go home and you stay in your room. We would cry, but she carried out the discipline. There was one summer I could not leave the house all August because I cut some boy's hair when he pissed me off. Hey, at least I didnt stab him with the scissors ;-)

I went to another room to eat with my oldest cousin. There are 3 dining sections. The main dining room, the kitchen table and a small study off of their living room. Dad was stuck in the dining room. I am learning to seat myself last so I have options.
