ravena_kadeToday was not good.
I am overwhelmed by all that I have to do. I should have time since I am unemployed, but I kept getting interrupted From 7 AM to 9 PM. One person kept texting all day. I wanted to say "Look, I uv ya man, but go away I need to concentrate" The interruptions were ridiculous. I cant turn off the phone as I get all sorts of medical calls for Dad and my phone number is on my resume so I need to pay attention.
I needed together things for the craft show. I couldn't do anything last week because of Dad's procedure and babysitting him during his recovery.
Beading is one activity where I can loose track of time...when I am not interrupted. I have my bead cases open...they are sorted by color... and I just put together things. I like higher quality stones, but some pretty glass sneaks in as well. It is something I hope to continue with and will have more time when I get a new job. If I get the job I interviewed with yesterday I will need to try and make an income with one of my hobbies as there is a big pay difference (but I could see me being happy) .
So I tried to make jewelry...got 5 necklaces made. The cat kept jumping on the beading table. I had to lock him out of the room.
Had to do Dad's bills
Had to do Dad's laundry...he's not able to pick up the launt=dry basket yet...he can drive so he is going to work, but not moving anything.
Had to call my credit card and report fraud stuff.
Had to take down the Halloween decorations outside
Spent 2 hours prepping and cooking dinner. Needed salt. Sigh
Applied for 5 more jobs...I HATE cover letters. Wading through job postings is discouraging.
Follow'd up with the woman at Arbella Insurance. No word. People say that I should get responses back. Those people are not looking for jobs. I sent out over 400 applications the last time I was laid off and and only has 6 interviews.
Did not get to work on ceramics like I wanted.

If they're not a friend, well, at least you've set a boundary so you could get things done that you need to do.

Have I told you my trick? Every time I write a cover letter I add it to my "master" cover letter. Eventually you get to the point where you can just pick a couple of paragraphs from your master list that match the job description and copy/paste them when you need to write a new one.
People say that I should get responses back.
People who say that haven't job hunted in twenty years. Nobody responds anymore.
