Sep. 26th, 2023 08:48 pmDad had a test today where they sent a camera down his throat to video the heart. It showed that there is a valve that has a flap on it that is causing the blood to splash back into his heart. This could have only happened at the time of surgery. There is a procedure where they go up an artery in the ground and place a clip on the flap to stop it from flapping. If nothing changes and thee are no emergency surgeries Dad should hav this procedure tomorrow and then come home. If he is bumped because of an emergency he will just come home and they will schedule the procedure for another day.

Date: 2023-09-27 02:39 am (UTC)dark humor warning....It made me think of the Far Side cartoon where there's an open-body surgery going on and there is an innard shooting out of the cavity, one of the surgeons is "Whoops! Don't let me lose that!" or something like that.
I hope it's as "simple" as that explanation, and I really hope it'll help him out a bit, correct some of the issues he's been having.....Despite his and cousin's causing problems, etc.
