ravena_kadeTropical storm Ophelia is annoying. I wanted to go into town and roam around before visiting Dad. Nope.
I asked for rides so I would not get soaked and the fact that it would take over 2 hours to get there with the T in weekend non service crap.
I also went in early because Dad called and said the ER nurses wanted to discuss his BP as they didnt want to give him his meds... The cousins got me there quickly. Showed my records to the nurse, but then we got word that a room was ready in the new cardiology building so they moved on to the next patient. In an hour we were in a brand new room. I have no idea if I remember how to get there.
Wishing 45 minutes the floor dr came on. He had a portable ultrasound with him. Dad had a lot of fluid. I said I was confused as his target weight is 160 and he weights 161.2? He told me that he could be loosing mass and gaining fluid. The heart working hard can cause calorie burn. But then shouldn't his BP be high?
The doc was also concerned about fluid in the abdomen...he wanted to see if maybe someone else was causing the fluid. He mentioned liver damage even though liver damage would show on his blood work.
I hesitate to google anything because the term Cardiac Failure endgame came up...and I didn't read anymore.
Another cousin came and got and and brought me to a small market to do some for shopping. I needed eggs and meats. Today I will place an order for dry goods and cleaning product.
Today I will go in for lunch and hope I see the doc today. You cant get in before 11.
