After lunch the Boston Boss comes over and asks me and Zarina, the gossip girl, a question. She said dont read into this and it is only a question...IF you had to pick between coming to work at State Street, Boston (the heart of the financial district...or what used to be before COVID) or East Providence Rhode Island, what would you pick? I said State Street. I do not have a car and could not get to another state. Zarina asked if I minded taking the T (the trains that are not working great now). I said I worked over 30 years downtown. The T is easy for me. I like Boston.

Now, not really reading much into the question still tells me that with only 4 months left to vacate the building that they have no plans for another building. You don't just move a large corporate office in week.

The other thing that boggles my brain is why don't they just have people go remote and save rent. Space in the State Street building still costs a lot for rent. Is it really worth it to them just to step on the little workers?

Personally I wouldn't mind being in the city proper. I could go shopping at lunch. I could go out after work. Heck it is a block away from the Aquarium and restaurants. I would feel like my old self again. Gee, I wonder if I would have to dress better... you know, black jeans instead of blue ;-)
