Tuesday we went back up North for a whale watch. I was picked up at 5:30 AM and we drove through Boston rush hour traffic to get to the boat. Took over 2 hours to arrive. It was a great day to be out on a boat and we saw some whales and some seals. I have never seen seals on a whale watch before. All was well and we headed to the bar in Ipswich for lunch. All was well and lunch was good. Then it got dicey. They wanted ice cream, but didnt want increase from any of the local places. We had to find a certain dairy with a certain flavor. Okay we found it... It was over an hour drive... they stopped at a store 10 minutes away from the dairy and went in and spent over a half hour there putzing around. We get to the dairy and they need to take a 45 minute nap before we get ice cream. Finished ice cream at 4:00 and said that they wouldn't eat dinner. It took us 2.5 hours to get through Boston rush hour traffic again. When we got home I had to cook for Dad. They then said that they would eat and I have to cook a full dinner at 7PM. Oi.

Yesterday was my Birthday. I planned to go to a beach no where near Boston or any city traffic. We got there about 10:30 and the weather was lovely. My sister wouldn't sit in the sand and did not bring a chair. The s/o brought a chair from my house and broke it. I walked the beach...made myself happy and collected a nice amount of bay scallop shells. My sister decided to join me and the s/o sat in the bath house. I still had a nice time as I was on a beach looking for seashells. The water was warm and clear. Nice. After we went for lunch and I had them stop at a small pottery place... I loved the store, the lay out of the wares, the items in the shop...and even talked ceramics with the potter. He showed me his kilns and glazes. I bought 3 lovely pieces and would like to go back and buy more. =) It was a good day with no traffic.

Today my sister wanted to drive North to New Hampshire and drive through the White Mountains. Dad came with us anti was nice. He had taken me up there a few years ago for my birthday. We visited some of the same spots anti was good. They only think is that too 3 hours to get there and 5 to get home. I am getting tired of being stick in the back seat of a car for so long. Oi.

Tomorrow Dad had a Doctor's appointment and the we head north to visit the cousins in a swank hotel on a sea cliff. Dad is driving so we wont get stuck in traffic because he knows his way around. Hopefully the rain will hold off.

OMg, they are something else.
When they wanted a full supper fixed, I would have told them to go find a restaurant. :o :o :o

I am glad you had a good birtheday though. :)
HUGS, Jon

In the car?!?! That's just weird.

They then said that they would eat and I have to cook a full dinner at 7PM.

There's nothing that says you have to cook for someone who has earlier told you they didn't want to eat. Let them go out for food if they're going to be bad guests like that. Of they can heat something up themselves. You don't have to cook for them at the last minute. You're not responsible for making sure they get fed.

The s/o brought a chair from my house and broke it.

If they didn't offer to pay for the damage, they should have. And it's not rude to ask them to pay for repairing/replacing the chair. Just saying.

*Hugs* reading about how your relatives treat you always makes me wish you had nicer relatives.
