ravena_kadeI am finally feeling better. Yay.
Work is getting idiotic. The woman that irks me was all upset because she heard a rumor about next week. Since the 4th of July iso a day that we need to show up in the office that we will have to come in a second day. She went on and on. Oi. I said don't take it seriously until we hear from our boss. Our boss may be fighting it... because frankly she never wanted to come back to the office at all. I said she she go to the boss and say she heard a rumor. I would. She then moped around and gossiped with anyone who would listen. Yup, this is the type of person you promote to associate. Sigh.
After she leaves the boss comes over to me and the woman who was retiring. She asked what was all the chat about. The other woman looked horrified. I just told her that the rumor mill is bringing that since there is a holiday next week they will force people to come in an extra day. She said it was true but she was fighting it with her boss. She then asked why so and so didnt come to her instead gossiping. I shrugged and said immaturity. Im too old for gossip.
I told the boss I want to come in Monday and Wednesday. I am saying this now because I have Friday off and I have next Friday off. While I am not a fan, its no skin off my nose right now. What I find unfair is that upper management decides this 2 days before the biggest vacation week of the year and people with kids are going to have a tough time finding child care. Text me when you get the word that we have to do this. I just got that text.
Tomorrow I have off to go to a ceramic shop with my friend who owns the shop by my house. It's a 2 hour drive and she didn't want to go alone. Sad, but the last time we did this was the weekend her husband died. Im hoping for a nice ride and maybe stopping for an ice cream.

This is how you know upper management is male, they never have to worry about who is taking care of their kids. *eyeroll*
