May. 30th, 2023 09:12 pmGoing back to a day of spreadsheets was hard, but okay.
The team lead called me at 5 AM to tell me what was going on. The situation where we would help another person went the way of the Boston Boss strong arming her favorite to take on learning the cash roll. Not surprised. The SURPRISE was that the woman who needed help and has been so stressed decided to retire. She hasn't given an exact date yet because she has to wrangle healthcare for her husband. Our healthcare ends the day we leave the company... even though the premium is paid until the end of the month. She may be here until July. I guess the Boston Boss was in a panic last week.
At 6 the Boston Boss came in with a balloon and some store bought mini cupcakes. She patted me on the back and sad congrats on 10 years. and left the cupcakes on my desk. I tied the balloon to my chair. at 10 and 1:30 I offered cupcakes to people. No one took one.
The team lead did really well with covering my work. This is a first in almost 10 years. I was pleased.
I told the Boss about Dad's back to back appointments/tests on July 21 the the team lead is out. She said that she would see if the Favorite could help me. The team lead also offered to sign on early and run some reports. She has the day off because its her daughter's birthday and she knows her daughter wont be awake at 4 AM.
I was home by 3;30. The painter was not here. He just has one side of the house left to do with the brown. It's nice to see it neat and clean. He should be done Friday or Saturday.

Date: 2023-05-31 11:32 pm (UTC)When I hit 30 years, I walked onto the unit several minutes before my shift started and one of the nurse was like, Could you help quick in room 28? I was like, Okay. The curtains were all pulled, I went over and pulled open the curtains and walked in. There was no patient, but a couple of the nurses and this massive sheet cake for my anniversary. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs, Jon
