ravena_kadeThursday I headed to Rockport. Glad I went, but it wasn't quite what I needed and I kept getting interrupted by the phone.
A few of the calls were for medical appointments for Dad. If you don't answer then the number they leave is not a live person so you are on hold for 30 minutes and the people who pick up are not medical staff so they just take a message and someone should get back to you later but if you miss that call then it starts all over again.
My Dad's cardiologist decided to go on vacation so Dad's appointment for July 7 was canceled and I find out that this means the electrical device clinic for the same day was also cancelled. I had to take a PTO day for these appointments...now they moved it to July 21...if dont take that day then we have to wait until the fall. He could be dead by the fall. This sets up conflict in work with PTO and my team lead took 3 weeks in July. I need to propose that I start at 3 AM and then come back from the Cardiologist stuff and work until all work is done. The call set up so much anxiety in me that it wrecked my day.
The Rockport shop keeps were getting ready for the weekend and so were not attentive. The place I went to see about a horseshoe crab door knocker has a worker that was too interested in flirting with another worker... she was no kid...about my age... and seemed bothered that I had questions... I didnt buy the knocker. I can order one on etsy.
I did find a nice mill pond that would be a great place to paint.
I did go to the bead store there and picked up some lovely things. I hope together beading and find a way to get my stuff seen. I do enjoy doing craft shows so much and jewelry is easy to bring if you keep your displays simple.
The Apothecary store was tiny tiny tiny. More like a she shed with a witchy theme. The shop keep was friendly and chatty and really loved what she had in her shop. I purchased some things and inquired about a few classes she offered. I will go back.
Friday and Saturday I worked ore in the garden. I want to get it so I can just do an hour outside after work just to de stress.
Yesterday at noon the painter shows up. I didn't think he'd work Memorial Day Weekend, but that is fine. He is quiet as he works. He's even back today. I hope he's done sometime next week. Then we can set up the spa and not have a summer of work people like last year.
Today is another cousins day. I have made food for the cook out and planned a safe dinner for Dad when I leave. The baseball game is on at 4 PM so I will go home and leave him there.
