My Friday and Saturday away were good. Perfect weather to be outside. Great day to visit.
We went to the beach and A Renn Faire. My friends Phoenix Swords, and Guy Todd were there.

I was away 1 night. Dad gained 2 pounds and ate out 5 times. Sigh.

He is also having afib. He didn't have this when we went to the cardiologist on Wednesday. I have been tracking it on my data sheet and they didnt think much of it as his defibrillator should go off if he gets in trouble. ... but does that mean the $700 drug is not working? Or would he be setting off the defibrillator without it. We don't have another appointment until July 7.

It's a lot of stress for me.

Today we went to the cousins for Mother's Day. They were grilling out. I made coleslaw (low sodium and its good) and a bug salad. I brought the burgers with were only 75 mg of sodium. They also had chicken tenders. Not bad for Dad and all fit into their so called weight watchers diet...how eating out 5 times in 2 days fits into a diet I will never know.

Then the young cousin come in with her 4 year old son. Sadly the boy is turning out mean. He has very little contact with other little kids. I feel bad, but he is unpleasant to be around and the family making excuses fir his behavior is annoying. He tried to slap his 94 year old great grandmother and ran around the house screaming. Then his mother ordered pizza. I didnt think a severe type one diabetic kid could eat pizza...but what ever. I wanted to go, but they made a big deal about the pizza and Dad staying for dinner. We just finished lunch at 1. It was 5. Before the kid can eat he gets a shot of insulin, but he didnt want it so he tried to punch his Mother. Such a shit show. And Dad wanted pizza. Arrrggghh.

They tried to get us to take the left over pizza. I said no. They said they didnt want it because they are on weight watchers. I said I know. I need to eat better myself as I am feeling sick...and Dad has Chronic Heart Failure. I wanted to say "KEEP YOUR F'ING PIZZA"

I have a migraine now.

I know that no one would blame me. I keep my sister informed via texts. It's just guilt after what happened with my Mother.

I need to get finances and the house in order for the WHEN. I thought I would have a couple years, but I have doubts now.

I think I would try to get answers to those questions before your next appointment. That's the least they could do for you. :o

Five times?!?! What the hell? Can your father not feed himself at all? At his age?

Your father is not doing anything to help himself. I think you're fighting a losing battle with him. =(

I don't think he'll last 5 years. Its already been over 6 months.
