Yesterday was a crappy work day. I checked in with the team lead as I have today off to head to New Hampshire. My first overnight away since last fall.

I filled her in on the problems with several of my accounts. Mostly people being dumb asses and doing their accounting wrong. The new systems makes it impossible to track issues. Im frustrated because I dont have 30 years experience in consumer loans to tell these people how to do their jobs. All she talks about is how frustrated she is because she is taking on more work Not helpful to me at all. I said that I was aware of the cases because our boss told me that she asked to help out this other department and that I would not be expected to back her up on these accounts. Thats what salary people can do because there is no limit on their time.

Then some corrupted spreadsheet played havoc with my laptop. Sigh

I did get to walk the house beach. Im glad I did. The water was warm so I walked the in the surf...what little there was. Its like the beach knew I was in a crabby mood so it sent me some joy. There were over a dozen pairs of horseshoe crabs in the water...it was a crab orgy. I dont know why that makes me happy, but it did. I haven't seen numbers like that since I was a little kid.
