Dad may have to go back into the hospital. The meds they put him on and last weeks fluid restrictions have had an effect. We went in for a follow up on Friday and they increased his fluids. They said to try him on that for a couple days and they they would see about lowering the dose of the fluid pill Every morning I take his BP at 4:30 AM. His BP has been on the low side or normal. Today we had a follow up with the primary care office. They couldn't get a decent BP off him. 3 NPs and a Doctor came in. I thought were were going to be sent to Boston. The thought is that the aggressive fluid pill has dehydrated him. It is also causing other GI issues. We were sent to get more blood work to see about his kidneys and an x-ray to see if there was any type of blockage.

The weird thing is that I thought he would have an issue today with fluid and a high BP because he ate ham yesterday...even after all my warnings.

While at the doctor's office I kept getting calls from the home inspection person wanting to stop by the house today. She kept calling me Roseann. I said 3 times that Roseann died. This is not Roseann. She wanted to come to the house today. I said that I had already told her no for today as I am at a cardiologists office today and I have a 2 pm appointment next Monday as well. Can you tell me what the schedule is so I can tell you when I am available. She said she didnt know but wanted to catch me when she was in the area. I asked if she knew what a calendar was. Im home other Mondays and Thursdays and Fridays. Why cant we settle a date now? She said she didnt have a schedule yet. Well let's make one!!!????

So in the next few days I have to get the house ready for an inspection, but they wont tell me when they are coming. I may or may not have to go to the hospital. On Thursday anyone who could help me with Dad will be gone until May first. That and frankly every time I go down stairs I think he might e dead. I just hope he doesn't die in the car and kill other people.

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought that was awfully extreme.
Kind of have to wonder if his BP would have been even lower if he hadn't ate that ham and gotten the salt intake from that. :o
That inspector is an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ham probably did keep him going.

If Dad doesn't have a productive bathroom session tomorrow I will take him in...but I dont know where. I dont think its an ER situation? The CDAC unit wont take him because its not his heart. The cardiologist will call me tomorrow.

It Irks me to no end that my town doesn't have a hospital anymore.

The inspector is coming this Friday.

I may bring Dad in tomorrow. I just cant get the car home.

The inspector finally set a date...this Friday morning... so I am now running like a mad person to make
things decent. I hate strangers in my house.

Dad is like a science experiment...a balance between meds and fluids. Just sucks that my city doesn't have a hospital any more.

And the only thing I can say is better now then when I want to go away.

i don't know what the inspector is for, but i hope it all goes OK. and i'm glad your father's fluids are being monitored closely, but DAMN, that sound stressful.<3
